WASHINGTON, D.C.— Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement upon Senate passage of a bipartisan border supplemental bill:

“The Senate has done what Speaker Pelosi can’t  pass bipartisan legislation to address the humanitarian crisis at the border. The House bill supported by Democrat caucus will not be signed by President Trump. Time is running out and suffering at the border only grows worse. Speaker Pelosi must put partisanship aside for the sake of providing much-needed humanitarian relief to children and families at the border. I ask the Speaker to bring the Senate bill to the House floor without delay. We cannot leave Washington until this crisis is addressed.”
